The Mercer children would stay on the playground equipment past 6:30pm until 8:45pm and sometimes on Sunday. Remember that in the previous section, Jeff Mercer said Sunday was no problem, since " Sunday is Family Day", so much for Family Day... The first time the Mercers and guests stoned my house was a Sunday too.

Monday, July 30, 2001 @ 17:48 Donna Mercer called from next door, she says there will be children playing tonight and Friday night. And she thanked me for the peaceful relationship over the past few months.

She was calling properly to utilize the special occasion exception clause of the agreement. I never did figure out how they decided when to cheat and when to call to utilize the exception clause ???

I bit my tongue about the cheating until the following year,
Thursday, June 20, 2002 @ 7:42 PM I can hear people on the playground equipment. I walked outside and saw Jeff and one child on the trampoline from my back yard. I said "Jeff, I thought we had an agreement?" He said we do, "with some exceptions". I said our agreement states that we'd call when we are going to have exceptions. He said he's sorry he didn't call and that they'd be about another five minutes. I said exceptions are no real problem, but I need to know about them so I can plan my life around them. He said okay.
