Tonight someone attempted to burn my house down!

That may not have been their intent, but it could easily have resulted in a house fire.

A number of cowards, coming from the west end of the street, stopped and congregated in one of the driveways across the street.

One of the cowards ran over, and stood at the bottom of my driveway, and ignited something (obviously with an accelerant) and then ran up to my front door and tossed the burning item at my front door. The coward then ran back across the street back to the driveway where he came from. Surveillance data was turned over to the police officer.

The police were called. Since there was no damage to my house, it was ruled some type of lesser FELONY, but still a felony. Whoever did this may or may not be caught, but if caught, the consequences will last a lifetime.

The police officer writes in his report that Jeff Mercer said:
... that Larry placed cameras out around his house and that one or two of the cameras pointed at the trampoline where his children play.
  • ... and felt that there would be more "similar acts in the future".
Jeff Mercer incorrectly (he always distorts) tells the police that I have "one or two" cameras "pointed" at his trampoline. There is one security camera on the trampoline side of my house with a view down my side yard property line which gets a partial incidental B/W view of his trampoline. He has his trampoline jammed up against the now useless property line "privacy fence" between our houses (which gets it "out of their way"). See the Picture Gallery.

Jeff Mercer correctly predicts more "similar acts in the future". Easy for him to predict since I will learn later that he and his scummy friend Woody747, will conspire (they disagree to the extent of their "agreement") to send me "anonymous" threatening and obscene email messages to my home and office. I also believe that Jeff was directly responsible for orchestrating thefts at my home. Yes, it was very easy for him to predict....

UPDATE 10-07-2004: Jeff Mercer testified under oath that he is was not responsible for this crime and he does not know who did. He said that he "thinks" others in the neighborhood do know who committed the crime.
